Nancy was regarded as the best cabaret singer of this generation. She performed in New York City most of her career. Even though she is no longer with us here, her circle of friends, who are champions of her music and call themselves "Team LaMott" (led by
David Friedman and Scott Barnes), is making sure that the world gets to hear her. |

I (Panpim Vonkhorporn) discovered Nancy in August 1996. I owe my love and
enthusiasm for Nancy to my fellow Carpenters fans: Ben Flaim, David Gholson, and Rick M., who all encouraged me to give her a listen.
When I met Bro Leo Bertelsen in New York City at the Carpenters fan
gathering at Sis Dana Britten-Stein's, we casually inquired about our
other favorite singers. And he mentioned Nancy!! (I believe that
scream was loud enough for the whole neighborhood to jump!) It was destined
to be the beginning of "Team Nancy." |

Along with
many wonderful friends from that Carpenters Mailing List, we started
circulating messages on Nancy among a small group of friends on October 29th,
1996, the day Team Nancy as a list was born. On November 14th, 1996, I
created a website for Nancy on GeoCities. Many sweet Nancy fans who
found it joined the list. Team Nancy was growing in size every month. Bro Leo
took the responsibility of the List Manager on September 18th, 1997. And Bro John Kanesaw secured www.NancyLaMott.com for us on September 28th, 1997! |

While I came home to Thailand and was offline for 6 years, Team
Nancy was still alive and well--just as we had always been. During my absence, Bro
John lovingly and thoughtfully transferred the ownership of www.NancyLaMott.com
to David Friedman, with whom it rightfully belongs. I was back online
again in mid January 2005. On
January 23rd, 2005, this Page was re-launched as
www.NancyLaMottFanClub.com, following Mr. Friedman's
advice. This
fan club site got here just in time to join the celebration of the
release of Nancy's 7th album, "Live at Tavern on the Green." |
